MICRONEEDLING

SMOOTH AND RENEW THE SKIN FOR A YOUTHFUL, REJUVENATED APPEARANCE.

Also referred to as “Collagen Induction Therapy,” Microneedling with AnteAGE™ is a versatile way to rejuvenate the skin and refreshing your appearance. Microneedling improves collagen and elastin production in the skin and after multiple treatments will create a noticeable improvement in smoothness, elasticity and youthfulness … your skin is truly renewed!

We’ve partnered with two premier manufacturers of the deepest professional grade pens, available to only licensed professionals at medical spas.

We’ve also partnered with AnteAge™, an outstanding leader in stem cell science, to provide a Microneedling with AnteAge™ upgrade featuring their highest-quality stem cells, growth factors and cytokines: a product made from the bone marrow of healthy adult donors and creates higher quality collagen than other stem cell serums. Adding AnteAge™ Stem Cell Microneedling with AnteAge™ Solution to your treatment can help reduce downtime post-procedure (thanks to regenerative, anti-inflammatory benefits), increase collagen production and elasticity, and achieve better, faster results from each procedure, improving the regenerative, reconstructive effects of Microneedling with AnteAge™.

BEFORE & AFTER

HOW IT WORKS

Microneedling with AnteAGE™ works by pulsing a series of tiny needles across the treatment area in quick succession. At Luxe Laser, we use two top-of-the-line micro pens (Collagen P.I.N. and MDPen) that are available only to licensed professionals, which treat faster and penetrate much deeper than traditional over the counter micro pens. We infuse your treatment with AnteAGE™ high weight hyaluronic acid serum to add nourishment and encourage a cascade of healing to your microneedling treatment. AnteAGE MD upgrades are available and will be discussed during a complimentary consultation prior to treatment.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Microneedling is a treatment that involves creating tiny micro-injuries to the skin using a motorized tool with a single-use sterile needle tip. The microneedling pen runs parallel to the skin to safely utilize the body’s own healing mechanisms and create a more beautiful complexion. Each microneedling service results in an exponential collagen boost that contributes to better skin quality. This treatment is most effective when performed by a licensed professional, as professional-grade microneedling pens used by an experienced Certified Advanced Esthetician treat deeper and faster, contributing to a safer experience and better results. Each service is customized to your needs, skin thickness, and other unique considerations. Collagen production increases, textural issues like fine lines and crepiness plump and firm, pigmentation irregularities are blurred over time, and the skin enjoys an overall regenerative effect.

Microneedling works by creating controlled micro-injuries in the skin using a motorized device with a sterile, single-use needle tip. As the microneedling pen moves parallel across the skin, it safely stimulates the body’s natural healing response. This process triggers increased collagen and elastin production, which helps improve skin texture, firmness, and overall quality. Professional microneedling performed by a licensed provider is especially effective because medical-grade devices can treat deeper layers of the skin more safely and efficiently. Treatments are customized to your skin type, thickness, and concerns, helping reduce fine lines, crepiness, and pigmentation irregularities while promoting a smoother, more rejuvenated complexion over time.

Yes! Microneedling is a progressive treatment that “hacks” your body’s own healing and regenerative powers to bring out the best in your skin. Microneedling staves off many visible signs of aging and keeps skin looking plump, firm, and radiant with health. It works beautifully as a preventative measure to ensure that your skin continues to appear firm, bright, and plump, but it can also be introduced as a means of encouraging your skin to self-correct toward a long-term goal of gorgeous and healthy skin.

We administer a topical lidocaine by Zensa prior to treatment that takes the edge off the pain. The feeling is an intense vibration with some instances of sharpness. Some areas of the body are more sensitive, like the forehead or nose. We will adjust the depth of our microneedle pen for a more comfortable treatment. We also will make adjustments based on your skin’s thickness in each charted treatment area.

A full face microneedling treatment is $245, with options to add the neck ($160 as an add-on, $190 on its own) or décolleté ($200 as an add-on, $245 on its own). You can boost the results of your service by adding an AnteAGE MD Microneedling Solution booster, and you may choose between AnteAGE™ MD stem cells for $50 or AnteAGE™ MD Brightening stem cells for $60. You can also choose to precede your treatment with an enzyme peel to curb your post-treatment peeling by selecting the AnteAGE Regenzyme peel add-on for $50. Many other benefit-boosting additions, like dermaplaning or laser genesis, are also great ways to maximize your results!

Microneedling can achieve up to a 400% increase in collagen production after a sequential series of treatments, which will stabilize and be enjoyed over the course of the next 6 months to a year. Microneedling is a progressively beneficial service that gets better each time. Ideal results come from incorporating microneedling services into your advanced aesthetic service regimen on a regular basis. Talk with your certified advanced esthetician about their recommended treatment timeline for your goals!

We recommend microneedling no sooner than one month apart. Clients with a defined concern or problem looking for rapid resolution may consider monthly microneedling services, whereas clients looking for long-term skin improvement and overall anti-aging benefits may consider quarterly treatments for an ongoing treatment strategy.

Generally speaking, microneedling is safe if recommended pre- and post-care is followed and the person receiving the service is healthy without any extenuating health issues.

Contraindications and precautions to microneedling include any person with the following history: keloid or severely raised scars; eczema, psoriasis, active acne, rosacea, or other chronic skin conditions; actinic (solar) keratosis; diabetes (delayed wound healing); presence of raised moles, warts, or lesions within the treatment area; and herpes simplex or zoster infections (treatment can trigger breakouts).

Absolute contraindications include: scleroderma; blood clotting problems; collagen vascular diseases; cardiac abnormalities; immunosuppression; active bacterial or fungal infections; scars less than 3-6 months old. Please consult your physician about when it’s safe to start microneedling a scar.

While microneedling does create better and stronger collagen—the scaffolding and support system of the skin—it does not directly “tighten” the skin. We offer Tribella™ Treatment in our office, which does feature a tightening step, but results are made over time with consistent treatments for maximal benefits. Ask your provider what treatments they think are optimal for your desired end goal to ensure that we’re appropriately addressing your concerns.

All services performed at Luxe are considered non-invasive, and the healing time you will undergo is what we call “social downtime.” In other words, you will look a little different for a few days to one week after your service, but healing will be minimal, and you’ll be able to move about your normal day-to-day activities. We recommend taking it easy on the day of your service. The day after your service, you’ll notice improvements to your redness, which, in addition to some light peeling, will gradually resolve as time goes on. If necessary, makeup (ideally mineral-based and hypoallergenic) may be applied to conceal lingering skin irregularities, but be mindful that your skin is in a state of heightened absorption. This is the time to focus on nourishing, hydrating and calming skincare, not makeup. Most clients are able to move about their normally scheduled week with little to no impact, making recovery a breeze.

Wash the face gently a few hours after treatment. Only use clean hands when touching the area. The microchannels we have created during your treatment are closed up by now. Gently massage the face with tepid water (a shower can provide an easier ability to massage and wash the face), and remove all serum and other debris, such as dried blood. This will improve the appearance of the skin and allow for better subsequent absorption of post-treatment skin care. Mineral makeup may be applied the following day.

For the first 1-3 days, the skin will be very dry and feel tight. Frequent use of recommended skin care will help alleviate this.

After 2-3 days, or as soon as it is comfortable to do so, you can return to regular skin care products. Vitamin A products are optimal and suggested.

Avoid alcohol based toners for 10-14 days.

Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 10 days if possible.

Do not apply chemical sunscreen the same day as treatment. Undesirable chemicals can penetrate if used in large amounts.

Most people experience moderate pinpoint bleeding, which clots almost immediately and is wiped away before the treatment is concluded. Certain areas that have been more aggressively treated will bleed more than others. You will not be actively bleeding by the time the treatment is over, and your total blood loss will not be significant.

We only recommend using a pro-grade microneedling pen, used by a licensed professional. A dermaroller uses small, sharp points aligned on a rolling barrel to create tiny gashes in the skin that are irregular, unsafe, and have a higher risk of infection, similar to the mechanics of a Roto-tiller. Our digital microneedling derma pen is precise, sanitary, safe, and more effective. We love a good DIY, but please visit a professional for this procedure!
